An Indian politician, Amit Anilchandra Shah professionally known as Amit Shah was born on 22 October 1964. He is a businessman-turned-politician and senior leader of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP). Currently, he is serving as Home Minister of India.
Amit Shah is a political leader with having a wide range of fan following even he is an inspiration for various young emerging politicians. He is also referred to as ‘Chanakya’ of modern Indian Politics.
He leads BJP to victory in many elections as the party’s president.

Amit Shah was born in a middle-class family to Anilchandra Shah and Kusumben Shah on 22 Oct, 1964 in Mumbai. He belongs to the Hindu Vaishnav family and he is a Gujarati Baniya.
He has a sister named Aarthi Shah. Amit Shah lived and studied in Gujarat. Further, he had taken graduation from CU Shah Science College and graduated BSC degree in Bio-Chemistry.
Since childhood, he was involved with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He always participated in neighbors Shakhas as a boy. Further, during his college days in Ahmedabad, he becomes an RSS swayamsevak volunteer.
Taking about shah’s relationship status he is married. He is married to Sonal Shah. This couple had a son named Jay Shah who is married to Rishita Patel in 2015. Currently, he is the secretary of the board of control for cricket since 2019 and an Indian businessman.
Amit Shah’s Political Career & Achievement:
He started his political carrier as a member of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sang (RSS) at the age of 14.
During his college days, he became a volunteer of RSS. In 1982, when Narendra Modi was the RSS promoter in charge he meets his first time there in Ahmedabad.
In the same year, Shah becomes secretary of RSS student body Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in 1983.
He joined BJP in 1984. In 1987, he became an activist of BJP’s youth wing Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha(BJYM). He campaigned for Lal Krishna Advani during the Lok Sabha elections in 1991 at Gandhinagar.
From the Sarkhej Constituency in Gujarat, he was elected as MLA in 1996 and became MLA four times for the same constituency. In 2009, he became the vice president of the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA).
Later, he was appointed as the National General Secretary of BJP. In 2014, he became president of BJP and in August 2019 he was elected to Rajya Sabha from Gujarat.
He won the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat with a margin of more than 5 lakh in 2019. Under Narendra Modi’s cabinet, he was given the Ministry of home affairs in 2019.
