 Photography is the art of creating long-lasting images by recording light or EM radiation. EM radiation refers to the waves of the electromagnetic field, radiating through space. It includes radio waves, microwaves, infrared, visible light, ultraviolet, X-rays, gamma rays. They are used in photography, either electronically employing an image sensor, or chemically utilizing an image sensor, or chemically through a light-sensitive material such as photographic film. Photography is used in almost every field, for eg. Photo-lithography in manufacturing, art, film, and video production as a hobby and in mass communication.

HOW A PHOTO IS CLICKED

The lens is used to focus the light reflected or emitted from objects into a real image on the light-sensitive surface inside a camera during a timed exposure which creates an electric charge at each pixel, which is stored in a digital image file for processing.

THE INVENTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY

Thomas Wedgwood of the United Kingdom is the inventor of photography. He was born in Etruria, Stafford-shire, the UK on may 14,1771. He is the first person to have thought of creating impermanent pictures by capturing camera images on material coated with a light-sensitive chemical. His conceptual breakthrough and partial success have led some historians to call him the first photographer.

TYPES OF PHOTOGRAPHY

1.Aerial photography

It has a long and rich history, which started in 1858 when photographer Gaspard-Felix Tournachon tied a camera to a balloon. Since then, it’s gotten better and better with the invention of drones.The French photographer practiced this type of photography and had a succession during the first world war, helped to know the war types of equipment of the enemies.

 2. B/W photography

Modern B/W pictures are used to keep the oldest tradition of photography alive. Image makers use this type to add timeless drama to their compositions.The amount of light in photographs can be controlled in every corner of the photograph.Nowadays B/W photography is used in a wide range. These black and white are considered to add some more emotional touch to the photographs by the photographer.

3. Composite photography

This type features dozens of photographs in a single image.The individual photos are shot and then digitally patched together into a believable scene. Adding a virtual background to the images so that it may look more attractive.All compositing photographer replaces a selected part of an image.

4.Infrared photography

In this type, using special filters, ordinary places are transformed into otherworldly locales. For eg. Trees and grass are tinged in shades of orange pinks and purples.
