Sonu was born in Moga Punjab to Shakti Sood and Saroj Sood (Teacher) and started early schooling education in Sacred Heart School, Moga, and later took graduation from Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering, Nagpur as an Electrical Engineer.
