Cricket is a game played between 2 teams having 11 players each on a field at the center of which is a 20m(22yard) pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising 3 stumps and above them 2 bails. The weight of the ball depends on the gender or age of the player. Men and boys above 13 are using 156 to 163g and women and girls above 13 are using 140 to 151g cricket balls. Children under 13 are using 133 to 143g balls.
The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at the wicket with the bat, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this and dismiss each player means of dismissal include being bowled when the ball hits the stumps and dislodges the nails, and by the fielding side catching the ball after it is hit by the bat. When 10 players of the batting side have been dismissed, the innings ends and team swap roles. Traditionally, cricketers play in all-white kits, but in limited-overs cricket, they wear club or team colors.
